On Saturday, April 28, thirty-five 6th and 7th grade students participated in the Pi5 NY Math Tournament. Nearly 1,000 New York City middle school students from across the five boroughs competed in this citywide math competition. Congratulations to our Junior Varsity Team who placed third in the division! Adekunle Onibokun, Andy Arias, Ruth Xiloj (7th graders), Cheyanne Mendoza and Devyani Harrinarain (6th graders). We are proud of all 35 MELS students for pushing themselves as a mathematician and working collaboratively with others.
